Caduceus (RAF Medical Services) Branch of the RAF Association

The term "Caduceus" comes from a Greek word meaning "herald's wand" and refers to the staff carried by the ancient Greek god Hermes, called Mercury by the ancient Romans. He was a messenger of the gods, protector of travellers, shepherds and merchants, as well as the protector of thieves, liars and gamblers; a neutral and non-combatant status.

The Caduceus branch was formed for members of the Royal Air Forces Medical Services, both past and present, of all ranks and all trades, full time and reservist including PMRAFNS. If you were part of this, then please join us.

We have members that had not seen each other for 25 years, meeting up and coming together as part of the RAF family. Anyone who has served in the RAF Medical Services, or has an interest in the RAF Medical Services are welcome to join us.

If you have an interest in the RAF Medical Services but are not eligible for full membership, you can join as an associate member.

As a branch of the RAF Associatio we promote the RAF family and welcome all those both past and present. The branch is active and has taken part in various events in recent years.

We would like to see nembership grow as the years go by and our older veterans become fewer in number. Our aim is- to help each other and support the RAF family.

We have our own welfare officers, and members across the globe. We have access to video conferencing and hope you decide to become part of the furure of RAFA.
